Mandalas and The Great Round: A Map of the Unconscious

February 6, 2018 by jas milam

SATURDAY, JUNE 23rd, 2018
from 10am – 2pm

with Jas Milam, MAAT

Mandalas are drawings in circle format and have an old and established place in healing – physically, mentally and spiritually. The word mandala is Sanskrit for “circle”. Carl Jung re-introduced the West to mandalas and inspired several art therapists to study them, including Suzanne Fincher, MAAT in Atlanta.

At this introduction to mandalas Jas Milam, artist and art therapist, will offer participants a chance to create their own mandala and learn more about the use of mandalas in a daily practice. Those attending will also find their mandala on the MARI scale as developed by Joan Kellogg. Come ready to draw and learn how mandalas can be used to map the unconscious mind and promote healing. $100 includes all materials, coffee, scones. Please bring a light lunch as we will take an informal lunch break.
